Oh my lord, they're hueg leik XBOX! X*D~

I was expecting 192's, wasn't anticipating 320's - i take it that's the bitrate you use for archiving your tunes digitally?

At any (bit)rate though, thanks a bunch, dude! Oh lord... :*D~

Glad you liked it :)
And yes.. 320's (or flac) is the bitrate I use for backing up my collection :3

Ohh, i gethca... Bit of a quality ho, i see. ;*)~

I usu. rip the stuff i post every now and then on here or on my Multiply account at 192... Probably not quite as good for mp3 audiophiles who don't like things to be too lossy, but that's the avg. standard for me. 128's (as long as there's not too much distortion on the audio) and 160's are acceptable too when it comes to downloading stuff also. :*)~

I just noticed something in the list...

You have Incesticide, In Utero and MTV Unplugged in the hard copy (and digitally archived) music collection... but you don't seem to have Bleach (http://www.megaupload.com/?d=F2MWA6M4), Nevermind (http://www.megaupload.com/?d=9S61PS48) or Muddy Banks (http://www.megaupload.com/?d=B2J6RGZ8) in there as well?? For shame... X*)~

(I also have a prev. DL'ed copy of WTLO's 3-CD audio portion in VBR if you might be interested in that too...)

Oh.. that list needs update. :P
The only one I still don't have it's MuddyBanks (thanks ;))

Ok, I don't actually have Nevermind on CD. I have it on Vinyl only (and it sounds great).

Btw, did you listen to In Utero from that vinyl reissue series? It has the Steve Albini mix for Heart Shaped Box and All Apologies, and not the Scott Litt remixes as the CD.

Nope... and i don't think any sort of vinyl rip of those mixes seem to be circulating either...

The uncompressed Albini mixes must be something pretty damn interesting to hear though. I've stumbled across discussion about that gaffe with the vinyl pressing, and apparently it blows the proper commercial release dead in the water.

Yeah, even if my player is nowhere near top-of-the-line (it's an old Dual player, we got on ebay) this vinyl pressing do sound great to my ears.

Like some people say: it's all in the mastering - they didn't mess it up so much as Bob Ludwig did.
Hm... and Wikipedia says a curious thing: "According to Azerrad, apart from the minor modifications to "HSB" and "AA", the rest of album was left as it was recorded, and all that was done at the final mastering stage was to sharpen up the bass and boost the vocals by 3 decibels."
Funny thing cause the original cd always sounded a bit wimpy, on the bass department :P

Wow, it sounds a lot warmer in the low end department, the edits sound smoother and it's not quite as punchy or shrill as the retail. There's also not quite as much double-tracking/reverb on the vocals, some of the instrumentation sounds more hollowed out and fuzzy while other small bits are made more prominent and the music drowns Kurt's voice out at times.

Still seems to have the same track sequence, though. According to this boot, it seems like the retail has some noticeable edits and slight printthrough that betrays what songs were supposed to follow after them (http://www.discogs.com/release/536433).
